Health & Safety
At Wonder Cove, we prioritize the health and safety of your child. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art security systems and our staff is trained in emergency protocols. We take every precaution to ensure that your child is in a safe and healthy environment.
-
All staff members will adhere to strict hygiene practices, including regular handwashing, sanitization of surfaces and toys, and the use of gloves when handling food or dealing with bodily fluids.
-
Children will be encouraged and assisted in maintaining good hygiene habits, such as handwashing before and after meals, after using the restroom, and after outdoor play activities.
-
The child care facility will conduct regular emergency drills to prepare for various scenarios, including fire evacuations, lockdown procedures, and natural disasters.
-
All staff members will be trained in first aid and CPR, and first aid kits will be readily accessible and regularly checked to ensure they are well-stocked and up to date.

Communication and Involvement
We value open communication and encourage parents to actively participate in their child's learning journey. Our staff will provide regular updates on your child's progress, activities, and any important announcements through daily reports, newsletters, and scheduled
parent-teacher meetings.
Lead Teachers are required to conduct at least one parent-teacher conference per year, and they should strive to meet with all families. Following the conference, a copy of the parent-teacher conference form and child development summary should be added to the child's permanent file. The Lead Teacher must coordinate with the Director and/or Assistant Director to determine appropriate conference times.
Each child's progress is recorded in a permanent assessment portfolio that is kept by Wonder Cove. The portfolio will only be released with written permission from the parent or guardian and is passed to the next teacher when the child transitions to a new program room. The portfolio includes photographs, artwork, assessment profiles, and parent-teacher conference forms. The Lead Teacher and Full-Time Assistant Teacher are responsible for maintaining the portfolio and updating it periodically.
